Wow these last 2 weeks have been crazy! Ill try to do the best I can at summing it all up!
I picked up my new comp, Hermana Watkins on Wednesday last week and she is doing so well! She puts so much effort into learning the language and is handling the culture shock like a champ :).
On Saturday we go everyone together from the whole mission to be able to hear from Elder Stevensen! Elder Braggs and both of their wives spoke as well and it was SO GOOD. The moment that he walked in to the little chapel the room was filled with a different kind of spirit, you really could feel that he is a chosen disciple of the Lord. They all spoke and we ended with Elder Stevensen. He talked about so many great things and shared some experiences with us but the part that had just about everyone in tears was at the end. He looked at us and said that by the authority that he holds as an Apostle of God he promises that we are where we need to be. The conviction in his voice hit me hard. I don't even know how to explain the rest of the things that he said and promised to us as missionaries but it was soooooo gooooood,
On Sunday we had a stake Conference that Elder Braggs and his wife spoke at as well again! It was so great and I was so happy that Natalia and Vanina were able to hear from them! One of Vaninas best friends is a recent convert from another ward in our stake. She was asked to bear her testimony in the meeting and when she did she talked about how she was almost completely in active until about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Her testimony had been struggling until she started to talk with her best friend who is taking the missionary discussions (Vanina) She went on to talk about her example to her and that she is so excited that her friend will be baptized on Feb. 11th! I just looked at Hermana Watkins like wait did you hear that? And she had no idea what was going on....but when I explained it to her we both wore the same shock filled face expression. After the meeting I ran over to Vanina and she hugged me and said she was going to tell us in person later but that she had found her answer! YAY! We are so excited for her!
Natalia came over to me right after to tell us that she talked to her brother and this Wednesday we will finally be able to have her baptism! YAY I felt like I was literally just getting smacked in the face with blessings ALL WEEKEND.
Yesterday we had Zone Conference and Interviews! I love President Cifuentes! Yesterday, we got to hang out with him all day! He and Hermana Cifuentes came on Divisions with us after the conference. He shared some of his wise words of wisdom and a few super raciest jokes. We laughed all day. He invited Hermana Watkins and I to go on a run with him this morning as well.
My thought before the run ¨President is like over 50...this will be just a cute little jog around the park¨
My thoughts after the run, ¨President is incredibly in shape and I will never go on a 40 minute sprint around the park with him again¨
I will definitely not be able to walk for the next week...Pray for me.
Well this was a novel...I hope Mom appreciates this one.
In other news I was called as the Sister Training Leader for the Bahia Blanca Zone! That should be an adventure!
Have a good week! CHAU!
